LSIS will be presenting smart solution for convergence in “Hannover Messe 2016,” the world’s largest industrial exhibition 
held in Germany, for 5 days from the 25th to 29th.

The company boasts of global competitiveness in the smart energy field, ranging from smart grid to HVDC (High Voltage
Direct Current), ESS (Energy Storage System), Photovoltaic (PV), etc.

LSIS has prepared an exhibition space consisting of 13 booths (117㎡), where it will present the concept of “Experience 
Smart Integrated Solutions” consisting of 3 zones -- ▲Smart Factory in Practice ▲Smart Grid in Practice ▲Smart Consumer
in Practice -- to emphasize its competitiveness as a company with total solution for the field of global electricity power·automation·smart grid. 

At the front side of its exhibition space, LSIS will highlight its differentiated technological capacity through its “LSIS Energy 
Self-sufficient Island” model that uses LSIS’s own total solutions for microgrid construction, including MG-EMS (Microgrid
EMS), photovoltaic generation, ESS, etc., and which has realized self-sufficient energy operation solution

In the Smart Factory in Practice zone, the company will showcase the standardization model for Korean-type smart factory,
incorporating the core solutions for automated processing including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), SERVO, inverter,
and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) with ICT (Information Communication Technology)-based factory operation information
system. 

The smart factory model presented by LSIS, the leading company in the manufacturing industry’s innovation in Korea, is a 
technology that realized production customized to customers’ needs, saving time and cost by integrating automation and
ICT technology into the entire process across a product’s planning, design, production, distribution, sales, etc. 

In the Smart Grid in Practice zone, business references that are being carried out in the Korean market are to be
introduced, such as the solution for 220kV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) substation targeting the global market, HVDC as 
the core technology for increased power transmission efficiency, autonomous technology in the field of FACTS, and HVDC 
across the “North Dangjin-Godeok” project.

Furthermore, in the Smart Consumer in Practice zone, the company will provide spaces where HEMS (Home Energy 
Management System), BEMS (Building Energy Management System), and FEMS (Factory Energy Management System) are 
actually operating so that visitors will be able to experience for themselves the effect of applying the smart solution.

LSIS’ EMS is a solution that integrates and manages information on photovoltaic power generation amount, ESS charge 
amount, total energy consumption and energy from individual home appliances and electronic devices, etc., in facilities 
using the company’s photovoltaic power solution for households, ESS, and smart meter.

In particular, it has been evaluated to satisfy both economic feasibility and safety since it induces efficient electricity use 
by analyzing and providing real-time energy consumption information to customers so that it not only reduces electricity 
expenses but also prevents accidents through its alarm system for excessive load check and necessity of replacing 
malfunctioning·obsolete parts in advance.
