In response to the expansion of smart factories in line with the government’s Manufacturing Reform 3.0 policy, LS Industrial System participated in the largest domestic exhibition in the automation field, where it introduced its smart factory solution based on its automation technology 

LSIS participated in Automation World 2016, which was held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul for three days from March 9-11.

Some 400 domestic automation companies participated in the exhibition and introduced the latest trends in industrial automation products and solutions. Held simultaneously with the AIMEX expo and the Korea Vision Show, the exhibition turned out to be the largest ever, attracting a multitude of multitude of foreign buyers. 

Pitching itself as an ‘Automation Package Solution Specialist’, LSIS opened a pavilion (135m2, booth no.15) consisting of two zones: Smart Factory and New Products. 
The company focused on promoting its smart factory construction competence based on its automation solutions and proved its global competitiveness by unveiling a number of strategic products reinforced with ICT functions in response to the growing IoT trend. 

In the Smart Factory Zone, LSIS unveiled its Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), the key solution to its manufacturing automation, as well as its SERVO, invertor, and standard model of smart factory, which are the adaptation of an ICT-based factory management information system to the Human Machine Interface (HMI).

Both event participants and visitors showed keen interest in LS Industrial System’s smart factory model, a new technology that reduces both the time and cost required to manufacture of customized products by integrating the planning, design, production, distribution and sale of products with automation and ICT technology.

LSIS has completely automated all its manufacturing lines ranging from the supply of components and assembly to testing and packaging by introducing a smart manufacturing line at its Cheongju no.1 factory. The company also plans to focus on the factory automation market for large and mid-size companies, as well as a government-led SME smart factory expansion project.

The New Products zone reflected a new trend in the manufacturing industry that emphasizes connectivity, and introduced its new strategic products, including PLC XGB U and HIM eXP Automation, which boast strong communication and security functions, as well as an energy cut solution applicable to high-functional drives such as the S100 and H100.

The company also emphasized its outstanding competence by introducing a total automation package solution that provides a number of items of equipment, such as a rotary press machine, elevator, packaging machine and generator restriction system, all of which are equipped with highly functional automation devices. 

An LSIS executive said that “We are targeting domestic and foreign premium markets with our enhanced products in the automation field,” and went on to explain that the company aims to expand its package solutions, which are optimized for specific customers, to the field of machinery, steel and biomass, and achieve a tangible outcome in the global market for its smart factory solution, which is regarded as the best such solution in the country.
