■ Winning Gold Award in the category of sustainability in global authoritative LACP-hosted 2014 VISION AWARDS
■ Six out of eight evaluation items receive high scores; excelling in design, creativity and message delivery

LSIS’s sustainability management report received the highest evaluation score from an international annual report evaluation
institute, proving its excellence.

LSIS announced on August 11 that its 2014 sustainability management report won Gold Award in the category of 
Sustainability Management Report at the global annual report Vision Awards Annual Report Competition, which was recently 
hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).

Vision Awards is the report competition held annually where LACP evaluates the sustainability management reports from 
the Fortune 500 companies, as well as from other global companies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. 
As such, approximately 1,000 contestants from some 25 nations participate in the competition each year.

LSIS’s 2014 sustainability management report received high scores in six out of eight categories, including Design and 
Message Delivery Power, earning the total score of 98 points. In particular, the report received a favorable evaluation 
because it expressed the company’s new mission of “FUTURING SMART ENERGY” in its design, delivering the innovative 
value of opening a future of smart energy, and incorporated infographics to reveal the company’s major achievements and 
activities by category.

LACP Competition Director Christine Kennedy evaluated the company with the following: “LSIS’s report won excellent scores 
in all evaluation items. In particular, the report well featured the company’s efforts to effectively communicate with its stakeholders. The report delivered not only the smart energy market trends but also the company’s competitiveness and 
achievements, effectively and with fun.”

An LSIS official said, “Our sustainability management report serves as means of communicating our corporate economic, 
social and environmental achievements, and our corporate vision, to our diverse stakeholders. Through this occasion of 
winning the Vision Awards, we will further endeavor to concentrate our capabilities on the enhancement of our corporate 
values and to upgrade LSIS into a global sustainable management company.”

Published in May, LSIS’s 2014 sustainability management report can be downloaded at LSIS’s website 
(http://www.lsis.com), and is provided to the company’s range of stakeholders, including major investors, partners, and 
customers, in order to effectively communicate with them.
