LS Mtron (CEO Shin Chai-ho), an LS Group company specializing in industrial machinery and advanced electronic components, announced on March 4 that it showcased its latest technologies and products at DesignCon 2026, a technology exhibition held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California from February 25 to 26, marking its third consecutive year participating.
DesignCon is a global technology exhibition that has been held annually in Silicon Valley, California, for 30 years. Approximately 140 global companies, mostly in the IT, semiconductor, and automotive sectors, join every year to share the latest trends in component, materials, equipment, and software technology.
This year holds special significance as it marks the 40th anniversary of LS Mtron’s Electronic Components Division launching its connector business. To celebrate, the company hosted a beer crawl to promote casual networking at its booth on February 25, the first day of the exhibition. While celebrating the milestone in a relaxed atmosphere, attendees explored collaborative opportunities and discussed the wired and wireless high-speed transmission technologies that are enhancing connectivity in the AI era.
At the exhibition, LS Mtron unveiled a range of innovative products, including the world's smallest 0.175 mm pitch B2B connector, advanced connectivity solutions for AI hyperscale data centers, and an automotive all-in-one (16-in-one) integrated smart antenna solution for EVs and autonomous vehicles.
Notably, LS Mtron introduced its automotive all-in-one (16-in-one) antenna solution for the first time, highlighting its competitive edge in designing optimized antennas for future automotive environments.
LS Mtron showcased its next-generation connector technology and its robust capability to provide customized ODM/OEM solutions. Last year, the company demonstrated its technological prowess in the ODM/OEM connector sector by successfully managing the entire process from design to production in collaboration with global connector manufacturers. Building on this trust, it is working to strengthen its partnerships for future mutual growth.
“The core of the AI era lies in high-speed transmission, integration, and miniaturization,” said Song In-duk, vice president of the Electronic Components Division at LS Mtron. “By combining our miniaturization expertise with high-speed transmission technology, we will continue to introduce high-performance connectivity solutions that are reliable, compact, and fast, ensuring mutual growth with our clients.”
