LS Cable announced that they succeeded in developing GHP(Gas Engine Driven Heat Pump) For the first time in Korea on Oct 12th.
GHP IS THE ‘Heat Pump’ air conditioner which IS able TO COMPRESS THE refrigerant WITH THE turbine USING THE city gas AND can be applied TO THE various places such AS ‘School’, Shopping Mall’ AND ‘Mid Sized Building.
LS Cable explained that LS GHP consumes ONLY 10% OF THE electricity IN comparison WITH EHP(Electric Heat Pump) SYSTEM so it IS expected TO reduce THE operation COST BY 30% IN addition TO THE advantage OF being able TO operate effectively even AT THE temperature condition OF -20 Centigrade THROUGH ‘Heat Retrieval FUNCTION’. LS Cable have been commencing THE development OF GHP FROM THE END OF 2002 AND finally accomplished THE mass production stage today.
GHP market has been grown up TO 150 Billion Won AND mainly dominated BY Japanese manufacturers such AS Sanyo, Yanma AND etc. LS Cable forecasted that THE success OF GHP would have THE POSITIVE impact ON replacing GHP import FROM Japanese makers AND enhancing THE price competitiveness IN THE HVAC market.
