On August 31, LS C&S announced that the company will be conducting ‘electrical safety inspections in traditional markets’ for Chuseok.
 
LS C&S will begin its safety inspections in traditional markets starting with Yangdong Bokgae Shopping Center in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, starting today, and then proceed to Itaewon Market in Seoul and other traditional markets near its business establishments in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, etc.
 
LS C&S will provide ‘i-check,’ the company’s recently launched remote cable management system, free of charge to help prevent electrical disasters.
 
i-check features an IoT (Internet of things) sensor attached to a distribution board which detects abnormalities in heating, short circuits, etc., and helps prevent power failures, fires, etc., caused by cable abnormalities.
 
A company spokesperson stated, “Traditional markets have deteriorating electric equipment and often suffer fires caused by electrical factors such as current leakage, overload, overcurrent, and short circuit, so preliminary prevention and management are important,” and added, “We will share with local communities through talent donation and contribute to improving digital-based social safety.”
 
Partners of LS C&S such as L-Signature and ELSYS will also be joining these inspections.
